Amna Asghar is showing several works in a group exhibition, Halal Metropolis, curated by artist Osman Khan, photographer Razi Jafri, and historian Sally Howell. The show “explores the facts, fictions, and imaginaries of the Muslim population(s) in Detroit and Southeast Michigan as viewed through historical research, documentation of current conditions, and explorations of future desires.”

The show is on view May 28 – July 17, 2021 at the Stamps Gallery,  201 South Division Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104.

Asghar will be participating in a talk featuring artists in the show on Thursday, June 10th at 7pm.
