David Gilbert has artworks included in Made in My Bedroom, a group show with John Bertle, Jim Isermann, and Daniel Arthur Mendoza at NOON Projects in Los Angeles. The four artists have been meeting sporadically to read Queer Theory since 2020. Consequently, the artworks on dispaly were made within the four years since the book club’s inception. The exhibition is on view October 25 through December 7, 2024.

David Gilbert has new photographs exhibited in Fairy Tale, a solo show on view at Rebecca Camacho Presents in San Fransisco, CA. The exhibition is on view April 27 through June 8, 2024.

David Gilbert: Flutter, a solo exhibition surveying David Gilbert’s career thus far, opens at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) in Winston-Salem, NC. On display in this exhibition – Gilbert’s first institutional show – are photographs ranging from 2011 through 2023, revealing several themes and motifs the artist has returned to throughout his robust 12 year career. The exhibition opens April 18 and will run through August 18, 2024.

David Gilbert has photographs included in Transmissions: Selections from the Marciano Collection, curated by Hannake Skerath and Douglas Fogle. The exhibition is currently on view and will run into 2025.

David Gilbert is participating in Purple Prose: Queer II literalism & A Flowering Cacophony, a group show celebrating queer artistry at Marianne Boesky Gallery. The exhibition is on view June 7 through July 28, 2023.

David Gilbert is an artist-in-residence at La Maison Dora Maar in the south of France during the month of May.

David Gilbert’s latest solo show, My Heavens, is currently on view at Chris Sharp Gallery in Los Angeles. The exhibition will run from September 10 through October 8, 2022.
