The word sky in English goes back to the old Norse word sky meaning cloud.
— Geoffrey Hendricks, journal entry from Between Two Points, Sunday Evening, June 16, 1974
In 2006 Geoffrey Hendricks created an exhibition titled Boxes, Ladders, Slates and Sky at the Egon Schiele Art Centrum in Český Krumlov, Czech Republic.
The show included one of Hendricks’s Sky/Slate Wall installations. Hendricks developed and exhibited Sky/Slate Walls a number of times, each time with different slates, usually sourced locally and with watercolors he made on his travels. Three of the sky watercolors from this Czech installation were made into the print portfolio by the museum.
Each of the three prints included in the folio are stamped with the Sky Works seal and Geoffrey Hendricks’s signature.
